Cimetière Saint-Laurent

Columbariums

The cemetery has two columbariums: one outdoors on the cemetery grounds, and one inside the church.

What is a niche?

A columbarium is a structure holding niches. Each niche receives one or more funeral urns and carries a plaque bearing the names of those who rest there. It is an option chosen by families who opt for cremation.

The outdoor columbarium

Located on the cemetery grounds, it is accessible during cemetery hours, like any plot.

Families may come and remember there freely, in the open air.

The church columbarium

A second columbarium stands inside the parish church itself, sheltered from the weather.

It allows for quiet remembrance within a place of worship, and makes visits possible in winter as well as summer.
